  1. Thanks for sharing this photo. Note that in JungleDragon, members are asked to include basic details as part of the photo, therefore please consider the following tip(s):

    - You did not share any location info. You are asked to at least share the country in which the photo was taken, since this helps in identifying the species. You can set the country using the "Set country" button. Even better is to geotag the photo, which you can do using the "Geotag this photo" button.

Note that by sharing your photo with more complete details, it will show up in the species browser, the global wildlife map and in search. It helps people find your photo much better, plus it delivers a far more educational photo. Check out our photo sharing tutorial for more information:

    1. I have made some updates, can you tell me what species of Oyster this is, if it is an Oyster? All of the pictures I have shared are from the same tree that day. Posted 2 years ago
      1. I'll ask Christine to have a look at this one, she knows a lot more about fungi in the US. Posted 2 years ago
        1. I think it is either Pleurotus citrinopileatus or something in the Complex Pleurotus ostreatus. P. citrinopileatus is more yellowish when young, but fades a bit when older.

Here are some links with photos of both:

          1. Thanks for checking! Do you think the first one is more likely? Posted 2 years ago
            1. I don't know, sorry. It looks more like it, but then these photos looks more like P. citrinopileatus:

Oyster mushroom Found in Jackson, Michigan. Not sure what species of Oyster this is? It left a pale lilac spore print. Golden oyster mushroom,Oyster mushroom,Pleurotus citrinopileatus

Oyster mushroom I am no expert but I believe this is an oyster. Found in Jackson Michigan mid May. Oyster mushroom

Maybe both species were on the same log?

              1. Good question, only Heather can answer that. For now have removed the ID of this one. Posted 2 years ago
  2. All of the oyster mushroom pictures were on the same log, one side was more shaded. Posted 2 years ago
