Similar to many of its cousin species, it is nocturnal, that means it will walk all over the forest floor during nighttime in search for something to eat; and consequently, hard to find during daytime&hellip; This one had fallen into a concavity in the ground and had apparently not been able to get out on its own. We gladly freed it, and of course I took the opportunity to shoot some pictures!<br />
<br />
There seems to be no common name neither in English nor in German, unlike for the similar looking Carabus problematicus which has much wider range.<br />
