    Awesome! I wonder if instead of Ducetia malayana (not known to occur in Australia) it might instead be Ducetia antipoda, which is commonly reported in Australia?

    Visually I can't tell them apart, but I think the region may matter in this case.     Posted 2 years ago

      Hi Ferdy.
      I did become aware of exactly what you found and I changed it to Genus level only. It obviously didn’t remove the naming in the identification field . It is however gone on my screen and only shows the Genus under the image description.I will later today look at your species suggestion, which mostlikely will be the one.       Posted 2 years ago

        I do see just the genus in the title. However, there was also a manual species request in my email which did show a full species name. Unfortunately, there's no real way to withdraw such a request. Anyway, no worries. Posted 2 years ago

          Ducetia antipoda Seems to be only recorded from Australia’s east coast. I haven’t found anything about Ducetia antipoda anywhere else in Australia. Posted 2 years ago

            That makes your observation extra interesting because any other Ducetia species that I see would be even less likely in your location. I'm out of my league here, hope you can find some local expertise. Posted 2 years ago
