  1. One of the birds I most wanted to see in Kenya, we spotted a group of at least 40 birds within an hour of entering the park, by pure luck as we had stopped to look at something else, and suddenly my sister spotted them resting in the shade. The Vulturine Guineafowl is the largest extant guineafowl species. It is a resident breeder in northeast Africa, from southern Ethiopia through Kenya and just into northern Tanzania.
