  2. I'm fascinated by these creatures. We used to have one at home in a terrarium for several years. When I saw my first tailless whipscorpion in the wild in Costa Rica during a night tour in Piedras Blancas national park, it was a really exciting experience for me. Not even our guide, who was quite an expert herpetologist and generally knowledgeable in the local nature, had been aware of the existence of these critters. A few years later we saw many more in Ecuador (in the rainforest north of the Napo river). Posted 2 years ago
    1. I love them too, in our travels we've not seen many but in some places they're indeed locally common. I love how incredibly scary they look, but in reality they're very shy and skittish. Posted 2 years ago
