
Utricularia triloba, Guapi, Colombia
After landing in Guapi airport, our guide Manuel searched the grasses next to the airstrip for carnivorous plants, despite it being full of soldiers due to an upcoming vice-presidential visit. He managed to collect 3 separate species of Utricularia, which are extraordinary plants due to their sophisticated traps.

"Utricularia triloba" is a small annual, terrestrial carnivorous plant that belongs to the genus "Utricularia". It is native to Central and South America and is found in the following countries: Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.
