
Mystery Trillium
This is some sort of non-native, rare Trillium. I'm going to go back to this spot in May to get a shot of it in bloom so it can be IDed. Possible IDs are Trillium discolor or Trillium ovatum, neither of which should be growing anywhere near upstate NY.
Habitat: Growing near the edge of a swamp with lots of pine and some hardwood.
