Mushroom - Russula sp., maybe Russula cystidiosa Most Russula mushrooms are so hard to ID to species. I think this might be Russula cystidiosa because the skin on the cap easily peeled all the way to the center. Caps were broadly convex with sunken centers, slightly lined margins, and were tacky. White gills that were attached to stipe.<br />

Habitat: Growing on the ground in a deciduous forest. Nearest trees were oak.<br />
