Xylonichus piliger is a large green chafer beetle found in south-eastern Australia. Distinctive for it's rich green colouring and dense white ventral setae. Found in Tasmania and southern Victoria it is often confused with Anoplognathus prasinus a species occurring mostly north of central Victoria
