Mushrooms - Gloioxanthomyces nitidus? Sunken caps with wavy margins; cap sizes were ~2-4 cm. Gills were decurrent with short gills. Long, thin, hollow stipes.<br />

I think they are either Gloioxanthomyces nitidus or Cantharellus minor.<br />

Habitat:Growing on the ground in a moist, mixed forest.<br />

  1. Hi Christine, I wanted to find out, but I give up. The two species you mentioned are so similar and the pictures available match perfectly. Here are pages with very detailed information, not that I tend to say this is the one.
