Ant-like beetle Forgive me. I see a bug flying on my box at work. I take a picture. Most I got was Tomoderinae or Anthicidae. The more research I do trying to figure out what these insects are, the more my skin actually crawls and I'm itching all over. Happy research for those who can figure out this species. It was about 5mm long or so. Ant-like beetle,Geotagged,United States,Vacusus nigritulus Click/tap to enlarge

  1. Interesting! I think you might be on the right track with Anthicidae. It looks similar to Vacusus nigritulus, but I have no idea if it is actually a match.
