Fairy Pins - Phaeocalicium polyporaeum I have been searching for fairy pins for years and finally found some, although I didn&#039;t see them until I had uploaded the photo of this polypore.<br />

Habitat: Growing on Trichaptum biforme; mixed forest<br />

I have been searching for fairy pins for years and finally found some, although I didn't see them until I had uploaded the photo of this polypore.

Habitat: Growing on Trichaptum biforme; mixed forest

Violet-Toothed Polypore - Trichaptum biforme I only took a shot of this fungus because the color was so fantastic. It wasn't until uploading the photo that I noticed there are fairy pins (Phaeocalicium polyporaeum) on the fungus!
