  1. I'm not going to add the ID for now because Lasius niger is a European species. It seems to have been introduced to some parts of eastern Canada and the PNW, but it is not common to CA. To ID is as L. niger, you would probably need a photo of the face to show the hairs on the antennal scape. Posted 2 years ago
