Duckweed - Lemna minor
I went to this pond a couple days ago to take some aquatic samples. But, I found it with only about 7 cm of water left! You can see the bottom in this photo, which I've IDed for the duckweed.
The pond should have 60+ cm of water. I didn't collect anything as I didn't want to disturb anything that might still be alive and living in the water. I imagine the water temp has also increased. Usually, this is a thriving pond that I collect from spring thru autumn.
The drought in my area continues with no real rain in sight. It's estimated that we need 50 cm of rainfall to recover.
