I love finding these! They all have their own &quot;style&quot;. This one was larger than what I normally see --maybe an older instar.<br />

  1. That is absolutely awesome... even the poo looks like a flower petal. Does it stick the flower petals to itself on purpose (like a decorator crab) or is it just sticky and picks stuff up incidentally. Posted 3 years ago
    1. They adorn themselves with plant debris on purpose. They feed on multiple plant species, so the colors can vary. I'd love to find one with red or pink petals.

  2. Took me ages to actually see it. Mind blowing Posted 3 years ago
    1. They are hard to spot! I wanted to take a video, but they move so slowly that it would be anticlimactic. Posted 3 years ago
  3. Fantastic but what a lot of work to camouflage yourself. Posted 3 years ago
    1. Indeed. It would be cool to see a video of one gluing the bits to its body, but I couldn't find anything online. As I commented to Niel above, they move so slowly, which of course adds to their camouflage but makes it hard to observe them doing anything! Posted 3 years ago
