  1. There are a bunch on BG that look like this, but are only IDed to genus. Tachina grossa and Tachina latianulum looks so similar to yours, but there must be a reason that the others are oly IDed to genus. I have no idea what the distinguishing features are. Posted 3 years ago
    1. Yeah - it was surprising that there was only a single ID'd specimen. I was thinking it must be something obscure that cannot be seen in a photo - reproductive organs that can only be seen under a microscope maybe? But even the pinned specimens are only at genus level... Posted 3 years ago
      1. Exactly. I wish they would list the features needed for species ID, but I assume they are very technical and difficult to observe. Posted 3 years ago
