large red wasp I'm a bit stumped... this wasp has an odd arrangement for it's antenna attachment that I'm not finding so far. The antenna appear to merge into a large base that is then attached at a single point to the wasp's head instead of originating separately..   1. Very odd indeed! Was looking into the males of several wasps as they tend to have very different antennae but nothing this extreme. Posted 3 years ago
