  1. Speculative approach: longhorn bees are tribe Eucerini, of which about 5 species are commonly reported from your state (which of course does not tell the full story of occurrence). Out of the 5, > 90% is Melissodes microstictus. Posted 3 years ago

        I'm really not sure it's a full match, but doesn't seem far-fetched either. I'll leave the final call with you :)

        1. I was incorrect - Melissodes communis is the representative species in my book... and I'm pretty sure it's not that one - the antenna are positioned far higher on the face in that species. BugGuide doesn't appear to have microstictus, which seems odd... Posted 3 years ago, modified 3 years ago
