  1. I gave it a try but got stuck. Then I considered they might not be bluets (there's non bluets sharing this appearance) and that made the problem even worse. Posted 3 years ago

I’ll have to take another look, but it seemed appearance + location rules out most if not all of the non-bluet species that we have.. if not for location I’d want to say Alkali bluets, but that would be a long shot for the place. I probably should comb through the dancers again. I put them on BugGuide,but they appears to be ignoring them… Posted 3 years ago, modified 3 years ago
      1. They can be surprisingly hard. Even in the Netherlands with just a few dozen species I always struggle. Big differences between male/female and life stages don't help.

        Don't remember if you're on FB but sometimes you can find a passionate group regarding dragonflies in a particular area. In my experience the quickest way to help for this group.
