Crab Spider - Misumena vatia or Misumenoides formosipes?

The white stripe between the eyes makes me think this is Misumenoides formosipes, but M. vatia is also quite similar.

  1. Any statistical difference between the two in terms of occurrence? Posted 13 days ago
    1. I think M. formosipes is more common in late summer/early autumn where M. vatia is more common during summer? Other than that, I only know the difference between them in that formosipes is said to have a white line between the eyes. Normally, I would ID this as vatia, so I'm confused! Posted 13 days ago
