Scutellinia scutellata. (Apothecial or Eyelash Fungi)

This fungi found in my kitchen garden on dead wood. Usually they are very minute about 0.3cm, Distributed in Gadag, and western ghat line from Karnataka Region India.

Nice shot! I am not sure that your ID is correct. Cheilymenia stercorea grows only on dung, as far as I know. This looks more like Scutellinia sp., which doesn't seem very common in India. It could be a similar species in the Order Pezizales, possibly Family Pyronemataceae. Posted 3 years ago
