Tiny diptera in flight, Heesch, Netherlands

Strange odds at work here. I was slowly approaching this tiny subject without even knowing what it was, I estimate it at 5mm tops. It got spooked when flash triggered and by chance directly flew into the focal plane, which in this case is about 2mm deep.

I'm not sure what it is yet. I was considering perhaps a snipe fly or long-legged fly.
