True Lover's Knot - Paris sp. This is an unusual and rare plant to be growing in upstate New York. I've been consulting experts and the species ID is uncertain so far. It might be Paris verticillata, but Paris quadrifolia is also possible. It might have initially been planted.       Thanks for checking! It could be Paris verticillata or Paris quadrifolia, or a hybrid, or some other species. It has some characteristics that don't seem to fit either species.
