A Male Audubon’s Warbler
Seems as if birders in this area hardly ever use the term “Yellow-Rumped Warbler”! It’s always an Audubon’s! The scientific name says it all, Setophaga coronata auduboni. This one was foraging around a beaver pond looking for insects. He was in competition with the aerial insectivores, the Violet-green Swallows which were too fast for my eyes and my camera!
