  1. Possibly Nyssodesmus python:

There seems to be some individual variation, unless some are incorrectly IDed.

    1. Thanks so much. I want to believe but still want to express one doubt. When I look at the research-grade IDs....

      https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/128044-Nyssodesmus-python/browse_photos

....almost every photo has these deep yellow leg sections. I wonder if that means anything, or perhaps it's faded in my individual?

      1. I agree. I had trouble finding more than a few that looked like yours on iNat. It's either individual variation/life stage or IDed wrong. When I did a Google search for Nyssodesmus python, none looked exactly like yours. I'm not sure what to think...it might be Nyssodesmus python or just another Nyssodesmus sp. or something entirely different. I couldn't find a similar enough genus that it could be mistaken for, but perhaps I just don't know what to search for exactly. Posted 3 years ago
        1. With millipedes across the world I see they're typically left at genus level, must be a reason for it. I think I'm going to respect that for now, hope you understand. Thanks a lot for the research. Posted 3 years ago
          1. Okay, fine. Have it your way. Hehe. ;P

Of course, I do agree and have noticed the same thing. I assume they are hard to ID to species; but, I know very little about millipedes so I don't know what the reason is.
