Parakeets with Long Tails!
Happy World Wildlife Day! Mother Nature keeps on showing us with beautiful wildlife like these Long-tailed Parakeets and epiphytic rounded ferns. Hope everyone remembers that we are not the only ones living on this planet and we are sharing it with a great diversity of wildlife which makes our planet a much more interesting and healthy place to live in.

The long-tailed parakeet or Burung Bayan Nuri in Malay is a parakeet endemic to the regions of Andaman and Nicobar islands, Sumatra, Borneo and Peninsular Malaysia. It is allopatric with the congener, the Red-breasted parakeet, "Psittacula alexandri", except in the Andaman islands where they occur together.
