  1. You're so right. I have a massive book with most species in the Netherlands described, with clear pictures even. And I still can't identify them reliably. So usually, I just ask for help from specialists.

    For example, you may be able to find a FB group dedicated to fungi in Portugal or Southern Europe. In groups like these you may be able to find rare expertise.

    1. I already joined a few Facebook groups like those you mentioned, but they always ask for a lot of information (understandably) and I don't gather the info they need to make a conclusive ID...that's why I find very difficult to ID fungi, you have to gather a lot of information and unfortunately I don't have the patience needed for this task :-/ Posted 3 years ago
