
Yellow-rumped Cacique nests, Rio Bobonaza, Ecuador
A handful of bag-shaped nests built by Yellow-rumped Caciques. There may be up to a 100 of such nests in a large colony. They often intentionally build these nests close to paper wasp nests. The paper wasps are no threat to the nest yet will keep out small parasites.
