    Are you sure about the species here? It doesn't feel like G. marginata to me, but maybe my eyes aren't working right this morning. I'm also not seeing any white partial veil or veil remnants. Did you get any better underside shots?     Posted 3 years ago

      Thanks, and I think you are correct! I was hasty in assuming G. marginata probably bc I so frequently find them on rotting wood. Here's the link to my MO observation with a (very bad) photo of the gills:

        Ohhh. This is tough. In some shots it does look like G. marginata. I'm not good enough at IDing to know what else it could be though :/ Posted 3 years ago
