Large Neotropical slug, Bellavista, Ecuador We didn't measure it but I remember it as quite large, perhaps 8cm. Sorry for the poor photo, had some exposure issues during the capture. Bellavista Cloud Forest,Ecuador,Ecuador 2021,Geotagged,South America,Spring,World Click/tap to enlarge

  1. 8 cm, wow! And, how is this a bad photo? Don't answer that. It's not. ;) Posted 3 years ago
    1. I will answer it anyhow. It was severely underexposed so had to do a lot of Lightroom trickery to restore it. This brings along some issues, but I won't bore you with it any further :) Posted 3 years ago
      1. Oh, well...I never would have known -- that either means that you did a good job of fixing it up or I am clueless. Maybe both. Posted 3 years ago
        1. Nah, it's masked reasonably OK. It was 5 stops underexposed due to a flash issue, and raising it back 5 stops make everything very weird and flat looking. Posted 3 years ago
          1. I thought you weren't going to bore me ;). Posted 3 years ago
            1. Tomorrow I will expand into the topic of color noise and and the relation with Bayer-based camera sensors. Posted 3 years ago
