Peggia sp. #3, Tribe Zoraidini During a recent road trip to different location in Malaysia after travel restriction due to Pandemic was lifted, I found this beautiful Derbid Planthopper.<br /> <br /> Feedback from Entomologist who specialises in Derbid Planthoppers indicates this is likely a species new to Science. They are certain it is under Tribe Zoraidini but is not definitely sure yet if it is under genus Peggia. During a recent road trip to different location in Malaysia after travel restriction due to Pandemic was lifted, I found this beautiful Derbid Planthopper.

Feedback from Entomologist who specialises in Derbid Planthoppers indicates this is likely a species new to Science. They are certain it is under Tribe Zoraidini but is not definitely sure yet if it is under genus Peggia.

    Exceptional image with an unusual angle and outstretched blue lit wings. The arched leaf and the wings pointing to the head helps my eye focus on the planthopper. The colors, top light and positioning made me look again and again. Posted 3 years ago

      I took this picture with back-lit but also with flash set to very low to still get the back-lit effect and to bring out the blue effects on the wings. :D       Posted 3 years ago
