Dicranocephalus is the only genus of the family Stenocephalidae within the bug part of Pentatomomorpha. They are sometimes also called wolfsmilch bugs in German. Some authors argue that the family Stenocephalidae comprises another genus, Psotilnus, and a total of 30 to 36 species.
