  1. Maybe Eupeodes fumipennis? Or, at least Eupeodes sp. because it appears to have a black margined abdomen, which is a characteristic of that genus. Posted 3 years ago, modified 3 years ago
    1. Seems likely. I hadn't take a very deep dive yet. I don't have a photo of the underside of the abdomen, so it seemed like there's no quick way to differentiate whether or not it's Syrphus or Eupeodes...
      Ha - you've got a better eye than me. I figured I couldn't tell if there was a margin, but I think you're right, you can just see it.
