Beautiful plant and flower, however here on the Isle of Wight it is considered an alien species which is choking our riverbanks and a lot of effort is being put in to eradicate it. Posted 3 years ago

  Thanks -- it is severely invasive here, as well. This was my first time seeing it, and I think it is only present in small, isolated populations in Maine (so far, at least). Posted 3 years ago
