    1. I was looking at that one - and the other Sphaerophoria species. I think... (I'm not sure I've read it right) that the yellow along the scutellum being a full stripe and not only 1/2 yellow disqualifies it from sulphuripes? The markings on the abdomen are very similar though (I have some top down photos too). Posted 3 years ago, modified 3 years ago
      1. Ah, you're right. I can see that in the photos of Sphaerophoria sulphuripes now. Hmm. I see some on iNat with the full stripe, but I can't find any that are similar to yours to be identified past genus-level. I wish I had a syrphid ID guide! Posted 3 years ago
