Plant Hopper? What I assume is some type of plant hopper. I've noticed a lot of them on our lawn and they are roughly 1mm in size (the naked eye just sees a dot on a blade of grass). Any IDs will be massively appreciated:) On a side note, I saw another moth recently; I was outside looking around after the rains and I spotted something yellow on a dry patch of grass, it was a Red Waisted Florella Moth, sadly, I was not able to capture a photo of it due to how fast it flew away but an interesting sighting nonetheless! 1. Interesting antennae. I'd definitely think hemiptera (true bugs) but would't dare to go into more detail :) Posted 4 years ago
    1. Thanks for your comment! I also can't give a specific ID because I'm not really well informed with the bugs like I am with birds and mammals. Posted 4 years ago
  2. Cool! Looks like a hopper...Try Tribe Delphacini. I think they have antennae that look like that. I assume this would be a nymph. Posted 4 years ago
    1. Maybe Flavoclypeus sp.? Posted 4 years ago
      1. Thanks Christine! I just googled it and it looks accurate but I'm still barely seeing information on it so I'll avoid entering an ID. Posted 4 years ago
