    I normally don't upload photos I don't have IDed to species level, but this is one lovely and iNat has failed me, so if anyone here has an idea, I'd love to hear it! Posted 4 years ago

      I'm glad you uploaded it! This is a notoriously difficult group, which is strange given their explicit beauty. I tried hard but failed. Had a look at a few hundred species, none close to a match.

      One interesting clue in your species is the horizontal band pattern somewhat obscured by the wings. Many species don't have such horizontally uninterrupted bands. This does select for a smaller group, but can't find a match. Just the subfamily Arctiinae has 6,000 neotropical species :)
