
Kotmaske - Ventral view
This is the "Kotmaske" of some Cassida sp. (ID pending), seen "from below", to show that a "Kotmaske" is in fact a "Hautmaske" covered with faeces. The four previous larval skins are clearly showing under (now on top of) the rest of the camouflage shield consisting of (mostly) excrements.
