        Are you kidding?! I can recognize the shape of the individual hairs/scales. Not sure here, but in many species (weevils!) that is diagnostic! Posted 4 years ago

          True, the detail resolving is alright, my big disappointment for this one is failed cleaning. I've been taking care of cleaning specimens for the last few weeks, but it didn't work for this one. Micro dust everywhere, and this photo is after lengthy post processing, so in reality worse. ''Tragocephala jucunda'' is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Gory in 1835, originally under the genus ''Lamia''. It is known from South Africa and Madagascar.
