  1. Based on a previous spotting captured on the same day...

    Grass moth (Crambus lathoniellus) resting on tip of grass Captured on an evening walk in my home town yesterday. There were many of these around, each step I made triggered a few dozen of them to move, so they were easy to find too.  Crambus lathoniellus,Heesch,Macro


    ...I am assuming this is the same species.

''Crambus lathoniellus'' is a species of moth of the family Crambidae. It is found in Europe, Central and South-East Asia.

The wingspan is ca. 20 millimetres . The moth flies from May to September depending on the location.

The larvae feed on various grasses.
