  1. Yes - Chrysopidae! My knowledge of Aussie species is too limited to go any further ...

    Looks like most have already hatched - maybe there are even still one or two larvae on the shells? Compare here:
    Pseudomallada (cf. fortunata) - Freshly hatched larvae Going by the long hairs these should be debris-carrying larvae and hence on the Canary Islands some Pseudomallada.<br />
Going by  what little is known about the distribution of Chrysopidae over the islands, on La Palma currently Pseudomallada fortunata is the only Pseudomallada that has been recorded there, so it is likely that species, but no way to truly identify to species at this stage.<br />
Biota still has it as genus Dichochrysa, but an update on that is long overdue.<br />
