Can you please rotate your images correctly before uploading them? Posted 4 years ago
Edit: I tried to put the photo correctly, it appears in my phone as the photo is vertical but when I upload it, it appears in Jungle Dragon as horizontal. Posted 4 years ago, modified 4 years ago
When you take a photo in the non-standard orientation, your camera will write a rotate flag to the EXIF information within the file (typically in the JPEG). Next, in many desktop programs or mobile apps, the software sees this rotation flag, and rotates the pixels on screen, so that it looks correct to you.
However, JungleDragon, as well as many other websites, will not do this same thing. It expects YOU already rotated the file, and that it's already correctly rotated before being uploaded. Some other websites do support auto rotating, so it's a mixed bag.
To avoid this problem, open your photo in any photo editing app and export the photo. You don't even have to make any edit. During exporting, the program will permanently rotate the pixels.
I hope this makes sense?
As for starting a topic, sorry, this can only be done when you reach class 2. This is an anti-spam measure, as they were ruining the forum. No worries though, with only a little bit of usage you will very soon reach level 2. Posted 4 years ago, modified 4 years ago
