First timer for me - the translucent orangy-brown "fall" colour form of Sospita vigintiguttata. A bit surprising, seeing that it is January and that these are supposed to gain their full black and yellow colour scheme over winter .... but I'm not complaining.
Couldn't resist uploading a few shots, sorry.
1. This is so pretty! Posted one year ago
1. We have a few more species with "bambi"-like colour option native to the Netherlands - one or two I will never find I suppose, but one or two of the others I should make a point of getting better images this year.
Here are the ubiquitous species:
Bambi ladybirds - 4 common species Four common species of Ladybird beetles native to Europe with somewhat similar "Bambi"-like appearance. There are a few other, but much rarer species that can also be confused with these. Note that the Ten-spot Ladybird (Adalia decempuntata) only looks like this in the "decempustulata" form with not yet fully developed colours (but that state can last for months). 2. Great find.
Somewhere in Europe?

1. Hi Mark, thanks :o)
Yes, this one has the country set as "Netherlands" - I stopped geotagging images from 503Jane's garden after I introduced the tag, as too many "pin points" on one location tend to make zooming in while geotagging a bit tedious ...
