Sospita vigintiguttata - Hiding under a bud
Today Jeanette spotted this one in her garden. First timer for me - the translucent orangy-brown "fall" colour form of Sospita vigintiguttata. A bit surprising, seeing that it is January and that these are supposed to gain their full black and yellow colour scheme over winter .... but I'm not complaining.
Couldn't resist uploading a few shots, sorry.

Sospita vigintiguttata (Linnaeus 1758) is a Ladybird Beetle with a Palearctic distribution. It is known from a large number of countries ranging from the Iberian peninsula to eastern Russia (probably), but it is rare or scarce over it's entire range.
