Can you please set the country?

  3. Fantastic image! I'll second Ferdy's request for a location, but also this: Are you sure about the ID? I seem to see (dirty, brownish) toment on the knee caps. Our European/northern C. aurata shouldn't have that (rather a feature of Protatetia (cuprea) or some such. Not familiar enough with the Turkish variants (if it was in Turkey, that is).
Do you have a shot of the front of the head and/or a ventral shot showing the shape of the "bulb" on the prosternum?

"Cetonia aurata", called the rose chafer or, sometimes, the green rose chafer or goldsmith beetle, is a beetle, 20 mm long, that has a metallic green colouration and a distinct V-shaped scutellum.
