Tarantula sp. Molted Exoskeleton (Ventral) This is the underside of a molted tarantula exoskeleton. The molt isn&#039;t in great shape, but I&#039;m sharing it because of the awesome chelicerae and fangs! <br />

Tarantulas have two chelicerae with fangs. The chelicerae are appendages that are located just below the eyes and directly in front of the mouth. The chelicerae contain venom glands that empty through the fangs. The fangs are sharp, articulated, hollow extensions of the chelicerae that inject venom into prey. <br />

**I have a fairly large collection of natural curiosities and decided to share some on JungleDragon. I have been collecting bits of nature for years and also have many friends who have shared things with me. Everything in my collection was ethically collected/harvested/sourced and is cruelty-free.
