    1. Oh sorry there I go again double posting species images. But I wish there were a page on this site where one could see everything one has posted more or less at once or at least quickly as in that process pages with prior posts take a long, long time to open. Posted 4 years ago, modified 4 years ago
      1. No problem at all...it's good to post multiples, actually. As long as it is a different observation (i.e., the same species, but seen on a different day or at a different location, etc.). Multiple observations enrich the species record and help give an idea of the abundance of that species in a location and over time. It's super valuable, so no apologies and keep it up :). I only included the link to another post of this individual for comparison. Posted 4 years ago
        1. And, a good idea to see certain posts quickly might be to use the tags feature. For example, if this observation and the one I put in the comments both had the tag 'Spargania', then you could easily do a tag search for that species and see all the observations on the site. But, of course, you would have to remember the genus name (which I didn't in this case...I recognized the moth and searched through Ferdy's Colombia moth list until I found the similar moth). So, maybe a more generic tag would help like #Colombia or the family that the moth is presumed to be in...in this case #Geometridae.

Perhaps Ferdy has a better idea though regarding quick searching...likely he does ;).

      2. My advise is to post in order taken, it's the simplest way to never upload a duplicate.

Showing a single page with all photos is not sustainable. In your case it would be over 400 photos, for some users several thousand photos at once. The page would be unusable on mobile, and extremely heavy on desktop, probably crashing the browser. And, it would probably bankrupt me, I pay for every image served.

I simple organize my photos by session, basically a folder per trip/day. Then go through that set beginning to end. No dupes.

        1. Understood. I will try to stay organized. Posted 4 years ago
          1. hehe, sorry did not mean to imply you're not organized, just sharing how I avoid the problem :) Posted 4 years ago
