Tan Jumping Spider (Platycryptus undatus) Our resident spider, in our bathroom, reminding me to take my pain supplement! Haha! At a disturbed mixed forest edge. I have seen it eating fungus gnats from our sink.
1. That's hilarious, it seems to want it so badly.
(of course needing a pain supplement is far from funny)

1. I felt like it was reminding me to take it! Haha! I gave it an empty toilet paper roll--and I don't plan on removing it from the house. :)

P.S. The Phidippus babies are still out on my front porch! I haven't seen the mama in a few days though. Not sure if the hurricane/tropical storm winds displaced her.

1. I don't believe you. Require photographic evidence. Baby update please. Posted 4 years ago
1. Haha! I tried to get some shots yesterday, but they were being shy. I got some blurry butt shots of one of the babies if you don't mind me posting that. They are good at hiding and are still tiny (but have definitely molted a time or two). Posted 4 years ago, modified 4 years ago
1. Don't mind at all, on the contrary. Posted 4 years ago
1. Phidippus putnami babies I haven't seen Mama spider around, but the babies seem to be doing well. They have molted at least once (look within the nest for evidence). Can you spot all of the cuties in this photo?
