Silly, knowing that there is little or no chance of a proper ID. But hey - they do have nice eyes :o)<br />

Will throw it at the folks at diptera.info to see if they at least agree on Calliopum sp. <br />
Result: Calliopum sp. indeed - either C. aeneum or simillimum, with slight preference toward aeneum but proper ID requires looking at the genitalia.<br />
