Phidippus putnami Mommy With the pandemic, my husband and I have been leaving items we have purchased on our front porch for a few days. I left a dog treat pouch on the top of our outdoor refrigerator for around a week, and went to retrieve it this afternoon. My hand immediately felt a patch of spider silk on the interior of the bag, and I decided to take a closer look. Mama spider was seemingly guarding her spiderlings.
